WJW Bro Kev Thompson visits a Lodge room in Beamish - Durham!
200th & 275th Anniversary Celebrations
What an excellent afternoon and evening we had on the 14th May at a special rededication ceremony for the 200th Anniversary of our Lodge rooms and also for the 275th anniversary of our charter. The Lodge was packed and many stayed for the harmony afterwards. The re-dedication ceremony was expertly performed by Provincial Grand Master Tom Bradley and his office bearers. We were honoursed to have two brethren all the way from the USA as special guests - Hon Member Roger Wainright PM Lodge 19 in Minneapolis and Bro Roni Zulu PM North Holywood Lodge No 542 in California. Bro Zulu donated badges, which beautifully express the tenets of our Craft, to many interested brethren. The harmony afterwards was also well attended and enjoyed by many of the brethren. More photos to follow. See here for video clip. |

RWM George Manson receives a cheque to be given to a charity of our choice from the Admiral!
We were delighted to welcome the Dunearn Corkies into Lodge 19 last night. There were eight candidates from 19 and 91 and around 50 corkies turned out in support. A great night was had by all! Well done to The Admiral and all the team from 400 plus stand ins for a superb evening's fun.
WJW Kev Thompson & JD Dougie Abercrombie at recent Facebook Degree.
They were honoured to represent Fife and the East side of the Country during this important first event of its kind at Lodge Possilpark in Glasgow. KT delivered the workingTools and DA the Mode of Prep in the 1st Degree.
WJW Kev Thompson was honoured to be invited to take part in the prestigious PMs degree at Dunearn 520 recently, despite the fact he was the impostor! Kev took on the office of WJW for a 3rd degree on a night when 110 different brethren from 22 different Lodges packed the hall. Masonry is alive and well in Fife and Kinross!
Lodge Duneran 400 recently visited us to deliver a second degree to our two latest Fellowcrafts. They did an excellent job and joined us for some great 'crack' afterwards.

Some of the keen quizzers who filled the hall......
Sat 19th saw our second attempt at hosting a quiz night to gather funds for the local Girl Guides. The first time we had to cancel due to bad weather. The night was a great success with a packed hall closely contesting a multi-media filled evening, with questions on a range of topics incuding music, famous faces, flags and movies. The night was finally one by Team Titan - 7 points clear of Cupar Curlers, with Bearly there just behind in third place....a great effort from them as they only had 3 players on the night! The Lodge formally thanked Bros Kevin Thompson and Dougie Abercrombie for putting it all together, and all the rest who helped behind the scenes. The Guides will be presented with the funds at a later date.

Delighted to say we have the Gavel again!
Lodeg Ballingry had visited St Clair to claim it but in a huge effort for 19 some 13 brethren descended on Ballingry last Monday in April and it is now back with us for our Rededication in May!
The Travelling Gavel which has been in our tender care since April was finally claimed last night by a team of stalwart brethren from Lodge 520 St Clair of Dysart.
RWM Jim MacDonald & the brethren from #520 visit Lodge 19 to claim the Gavel.
It was wonderful to have so many from Lodge 520 come and visit us and to know that the Gavel is 'doing its job' . Haste ye Back brethren.
Gavel from the USA
At a recent meeting the gavel we were given on our visit to Minneapolis was formally presented to Lodge 19. Current RWM Craig Rodger handed it over to PM John Dewar after a third degree run by past masters.

This gavel was used during our visit to Lodge 19 in Minneapolis, and was also used for above mentioned past masters degree back home in Cupar. It will now be given pride of place among our archives.

Trip to Lodge 19 in Minneapolis: USA.
Six of the brethren and some wives, recently returned from a wonderful trip to Minneapolis in the USA. The delegation led my RWM Craig Rodger (3rd from right) were exceptionally well received and looked after. Missing from pic are Bro Douglas Abercrombie and Bro and Mrs Mike Ford who battled with volcanic ash but eventually made it through! Click photo for report.
