Second Degree Worked By WJW
A very successfull degree was worked by WJW Gary Clark and a Lodge of Instruction team last wed. The work was excellent and bodes well for the future. Congratulations to all concerned from the RWM!

Memorial Lodge
A very moving and successfull lodge in memory of the Lodge 19 brethren who fell in the Great War was held in the Lodge recently. The meeting was taken by PM Peter Speirs due to the illness of the RWM and by all accounts was a wonderful night all round. The ceremony was appropriate and touching, the harmony afterwards - led by Capt JP was set in the time zone of the conflict and all in all it was a memorable evening.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work some currently serving brethren photos are not being posted.

mike ford PM
The lodge saw another sad loss recently when a well-loved PM - Mike Ford - suddenly passed to Grand Lodge above.
Mike was secretary for many years and was always willing to find answers to any problems the lodge had. He has many friends within the Craft and will be sadly missed by all of them. Our thoughts are with May - his wife - at this difficult time.

Degree Worked by WSW Dougie Abercrombie
WSW Dougie Abercrombie had his first turn at the gavel recently in a well-worked second degree with brethren from various lodges assisting.

A great turnout for Mike's lecture - 'Sacred Secrets'. Mike's talk went down well and he is invited back again. Here he is presenting RWM Kevin Thompson a copy of his book.

Brethren Honoured by Lodge

John Dewar

Neil Robertson

PM John Dewar and Tyler Neil Robertson were both presented with DCMs to mark their contributions to Lodge 19; a great honour for both who responded with characteristic humility and gratitude - along with much surprise!

PM Jock Mackie was the 19th to receive his certificate of completion for visitng all 49 lodges in the Province. Well done John!

First Degree st Lodge St John Corstorphine - Edinburgh
St John
A deputation from lodge 19 were invited over to visit our friends in Edinburgh and carry out a first degree for them. RWM John Wilson and his OBs were very welcoming and the 19 team delivered a great degree to much aclaim. The harmony after was excellent as we have come to expect at this wonderful lodge, with our own RWM Kevin Thompson even giving a song! Our WJW's son Ryan, was pleased to act as candidate. Another wonderful masonic event!

Reigning Masters Degree at Lodge Possilpark
Possilpark
On 28th August along with RWM of St Fothad's Willie Miller, RWM Kevin Thompson represented Fife & Kinross at a reigning masters degree in Glasgow for the master - George Baikie's son. It was an astounding night with 108 signing the tyle and 21 masters in the deputation. The degree was faultless without a single prompt throughout!
The hospitality afterwards was superb and a great time was had by all.

Lecture in Lodge 48 St Andrew - Edinburgh
In early August RWM Kevin was invited to present a lecture on the 1st Degree Tracing Board at Lodge St Andrew 48 in Ediburgh. The lodge room was packed as this was to proceed a double 2nd degree and the lecture was well received.

Lodge Chaplain - J Everitt, Bros D.Everitt, J.Inch and the WSW and RWM all made the trip. It was a wonderful day and another great masonic adventure!

Lodge Of Sorrow for Past Master Craig Rodger
Craig Rodger PM

In May we held a dignified and moving Lodge of Sorrow for our recently lost and much missed brother - Craig Rodger PM. The Last Post was played by Eric Nish on the trumpet, the bagpipe lament by Lodge Piper Danny Connolly, the Grand Honours salute was led by PM Peter Speirs, and WJW Gary Clark sang 'Days and Moments' and recited 'Remember Creator' all in an excellent manner. Prayers were led by Chaplain John Everett and RWM Kevin Thompson led the proceedings and delivered the Oration. One of Craig's poems was read by WSW Dougie Abercrombie.
This was a fitting and timely tribute to our friend and brother Craig, who will be sadly missed by all at 19.

Honour for RWM
hon member cochno
RWM Kevin Thompson was delighted to be made an Honorary Member of Lodge Cochno Duntocher 1304 recently. Ties have been formed by Kevin's regular lectures there and IPB John Bain of 1304's part in Kevin's initiation. Many thanks brethren - a great honour!

Honour for Past Masters
mike n pete
Two of our distinguished past masters were recently awarded Honorary Provincial Grand Rank when PGM Andrew Patterson gave them the jewels of Senior Deacons last week.
This is a huge honour not only for the brethren concerned but also for the whole lodge. Congratulations to Mike Ford PM (secy) and Pete Speirs PM (treasurer).
