Ceilidh Folk - who are they anyway?

Ceilidh Folk is a three-piece Ceilidh Band formed in 1990:

Kev Thompson	keyboard, guitar, banjo, mandolin, vocals, caller: - Over 30 years experience of folk singing and ceilidh band playing, also a very experienced teacher who has run evening classes in Ceilidh Dance and guitar accompaniment.
Sylvia Thompson	Midi accordion. Over 50 years experience playing Scottish style music and from the late Charles Duncan Accordion band (ex-British champions).
Jean Young	fiddle, double bass, recorders. Many years playing and teaching traditional and other music on a variety of instruments.

 

All three have played regularly with local Strathspey and Reel Societies and in various combinations with other musicians.
